Gibson and KEXP Radio, the non-commercial public radio station dedicated to specialty music and public affairs, will present the inaugural CMJ Music Marathon Party in Brooklyn on Thursday, Oct. 23, 2008 from 8 p.m. until midnight at Public Assembly, a popular new venue. The party is part of the five-day CMJ Music Marathon and Film Festival.

Four years ago, Les Paul enthusiast Jimmy Murray founded the Les Paul Jam and Tone Conference in Greensboro, N.C. Columbia Records announces the worldwide release of "Black Ice," the long awaited new studio album from AC/DC, on Monday, October 20. On 21st September 2008 a host of international stars took to the stage at the Royal Albert Hall in London to support the Peace One Day Celebration, marking Peace Day. 21st September has been adopted by every member state of The United Nations as an annual day of global cease-fire and non violence. Peace One Day is a non-profit organisation founded in 1999 by British filmmaker Jeremy Gilley.
